“REPORTING IN” I yell to the beast.
Since it is kind of metallic can tremorsense get a feel for how big this thing is and what is inside of it? Curious if the mouth is making a tunnel or what.

Seconded on how big the mouth is. I will wait to see if it responds kindly. If it says more nonsense or tries to bite at us I wanna whack it with my crowbar. I'd use a sword but we are crammed in here!

It's big, tremorsense can't get that kind of precision on it's insides though. You might be able to find out for yourself in soon though, since it opens it's mouth opens wide and it goes to bite you Blerble!

Ooh that would take me exactly to zero in one. So it’s like a big mouth in the floor right? How did it bite me when I am a worm on top of a bin inside of a tunnel is it snake like? I’m going to keep picking locks on the bin (man been at this a while) and try to sense in some manor how much liquid is going over us.

Quite right! In that case, it bites Hurricane for 5 damage instead. It isn't snake-like, it's as if the floor grew a mouth. There is one more padlock on the bin left, the occult-lead spike you've been using is scarred and pitted from all the work you've been doing with it. Unfortunately, the last padlock is the one closest to the ground...
Quite a lot is still pouring over the top of the hatch, if you were to try and open it now you'd have some serious trouble, and a lot of the fluid would flow into here.

It’s connected to the lid but hanging lower than the others? I will go to pick it. Gotta get this open so we can get out of here. How big is the mouth? What is happening with the bin being over the mouth? Does it have any broken teeth?

As that something brushes my foot, I let out a yelp and strike at it with an uncontrolled burst of telekinesis.
It's always something that I can't see. All the frigging time, I think to myself.

Blerble: The bin is wrapped in metal bands that spiral around, padlocks match the spiral on the way down and are spaced further apart each time.
The bin only takes up about half the floor space, there is plenty of room for the face to pop up. The metal floor also seems to twist and stretch to allow the face and eyes to move around quite easily, more like hard skin than anything else. One of the eyes flicks towards you as you squirm down the side of the bin towards the last lock, you can tell if Hurricane wasn't giving it the what-for right now it would definitely be aiming for a mouthful of worm... make one DEX check to see how fast you can get it open with a rapidly blunting tool.
Jax: You have no idea if you hit anything. Do you keep swimming slowly in what you think is the right direction, thrash wildly in the lake, what? Make a STR check if whatever you do is any way strenuous ((I think this is how I'm going to do encumbrance. It's not measured in slots, just a yes/no, and while encumbered, you make STR checks to do things that would normally not take a check))

I quickly sharpen the occultum lead spike on the side of the bin before swiftly picking the last of the locks. Magical ones in good shape go into my belongings and others are flicked into the roving eyes.

I double checked the rules, looks like I just get a scar! Well, I shouldn't say "just". Anyways...
I'll be cursing very loudly and then just stabbing down with my coppery sword with spiralling line etched from the tip to the hilt for... N9Yz8x0O1d61d6

Blerble: You've got an eye for this now! The last padlock is like putty under your onslaught, the bin can be opened! It's still an incredibly heavy bit of metal though.
Hurricane: Yowch. The mouth bites through the meat of your calf, red-hot metal teeth grinding as it chews! You are a Bloody Mess, you can't heal until you get that wound seen to, but you can reroll your max HP on 2d6. Luckily, the floor-mouth sees Blerble finish breaking through the last padlock and let's out a hiss of displeasure! Will you get out of its way when you get the chance? The tip of your sword plunges into one of its eyes, but considering the eye is already a hole in the floor, it doesn't seem to do much.
Jax: You strike out gamely for the shore, kicking as hard as you can. Unfortunately, the nibble turns into a chomp around your foot. You'll take 1d6 damage if you try and pull away from it, why do you do?

“Lift this lid and toss it in its mouth!” I’m going to shrink ray the lid then try to lift it with Terrance. Can’t lift with my legs or back as a worm but I will try something.

I'll jump back, wincing in pain but trying not to show it. "Blasted unreal life!" I'll try to help Blerble in tossing the lid down to stay its metal chewing. I'll suck in a breath of air to lighten myself so I can use more strength to lift the lid. First, strength check if needed: gtyMeTvE1d20+3

Between Terrance, Hurricane and Blerble guiding the show, the lid of the bin is pulled off and tossed into the floor-mouth. There's a tremendous spray of sparks as it bites down. Inside the bin is a swirling grey-green fluid, you can't tell what else is in its opaque depths.
Jax: Uh oh. There's blood in the water. You can feel the gaze of a predator on you... then, a sudden thrashing and splashing a bit further away! You can't tell why is going on, are two of the creatures, fighting perhaps? You feel yourself being dragged under, not by any beast, but by the weight of your sodden gear and clothes. What do you do?

Wedge myself between the wall and the bin and tip it to pour some liquid out into the waiting maw. I don’t believe there is enough room for the bin to fall on its side if we go crazy. What is the status of the liquid flowing over our heads?

That is correct, the bin is taller than the hole is wide. Fluid sloshes over the side and pours into the mouth, immediately turning into a glut of foul-smelling steam!
You can still hear liquid pouring over the top of the hatch, not as much as before but still a lot.

Jax: You are pulled under in your fumbling, but freed of the extra weight you can finally, desperately claw the rest of your way to shore. As you lay, gasping and panting, you can still hear the sound of some kind of creatures fighting out in the middle of the lake. A weird shimmer like metal rubbing on metal, and then all is silence, save the bubbling roil of the "water"fall you leapt off a few moments ago.
What now?
In the hole: It's hard to see what with all the odd-smelling (tasting?) fog, but you think you can see the top of a large head bobbing in the fluid. The flaming mouth is spitting out blobs of the goop and bites of the metal lid and looking rather irritated. The goblins are shrieking and trying to cling to the roof, Hurricane is bleeding, and choosing his next move.

Hmmmm kind of need to wait for the liquid to finish going up above. I guess I will have Terrance shape shift a little and scoop out liquid out of the bucket throwing it at the metal face down below us.

Does the face seem dying or is it just annoyed? I will continue the assault but first: "This is why we are here, right??" ANd I will try to haul the head above the gross water line.

The liquid is slopped and splattered all over the bin and dribbling down onto the floor. You're making progress though, and with Hurricane's help, you can prop the head of Phykalla out of the stuff! Their eyes are closed and hair has grown long, and they are wearing some kind of glass mask over their nose and mouth.
The floor-mouth seems more irritated than anything, it finishes chewing up the lid and spits out the shattered chunks of it, every drop of liquid makes it wrinkle up and spit out another cloud of steam.

Well it doesn’t like the liquid so I keep spraying that at it using my tail. Meanwhile I will see if Terrance can materialize above and outside of the latch or use the space twisters to wriggle through.
