(Cell block zero is protected by some unknown measures and many bad guys have been searching for a way in by the way) hmmmm I haven’t a clue on the identity of this individual. “Well let us be off then.” We will start moving towards one hit (which isn’t cell block zero but quite close to the area) this guy can follow if they want and I will inquire about what they have seen in their travels (trying to glean information which people seldom give unfortunately)

(that's good to know! There is a way to get people in that I've found but Hurricane will not be volunteering that to this guy)
I will look very concerned at Wizard and whisper: "What tis the matter master wizard?" Is his reaction due to this new being? I'm trying to intuit what's going on with wizard (on mobile so can't roll so feel free to do so for me) I will pull out a rarion and offer it to Wizard as well.

"My my! That sounds like a wonderful idea. Lead the way, friends!"
As you continue up the stars, your light falls upon the figure. It is a pale, red-skinned fellow, at least eight-feet tall, somewhat stooped, rather thin. Curling horns protrude out of his tattered top-hat, and his fine clothes are ragged and loose on his frame. "My name is my own, but you may call me Velicious. To whom do I have the pleasure of addressing?"
You can see one of his eyes flick over the chests of loot you are all carrying, then back to looking directly at you.

ah it is the dandy demon. They had their name stolen by the name thief, they are slightly evil but not malicious. They also may grant a boon if you appeal to them. Lets have them escort us to the vending machine area that is outside of cell block 0. I believe it is professor spell o matic and one hit right? additionally I wish to probe the dandy demon about what they have seen on their travels recently, asking what they have seen most recently in the area. What they are searching for on their travels. What they know about the current whereabouts of the name thief...

(There's only One Hit Wonders before Cell Block 0, the Professor is in the minecart room along with the Lady of the Painting.)
"My name is Jaxudyzad, pleased to meet you and may I just say that it's great to see a properly clothed fellow once again. I hope not to be troublesome, but may I inquire about your hatter? I have unfortunately been deprived of my hat and I have yet to hear about any seller of fine articles somewhere around here."

"Oh my, I've seen all sorts of things, indeed indeed! Those stony fools that insist on yelling puns and riddles like absolute morons, some kind of scuttling thing made of crystal, and those gruesome half-men that inhabit the webs have been venturing out into the rest of the tunnels, more's the pity. The Name Thief? Why, it wouldn't be worth my life to even speculate. That said, my life isn't worth all that much, if you catch my drift." you see him eye the treasure chests again.
"The pleasure is all mine, and it is wonderful to meet a fellow who understands the troubles and travails of remaining appropriately attired in such a place as this! I'm sure I present a sorry sight for my vestments are barely meant for vests at all. Indeed, if I knew of a proper hatter I would be refurbishing this old thing", he looks sadly directly upwards, eyes bulging slightly. "Of course, I might be willing to part with it, if you could ease the sorrow of my loss a little." He looks at the treasure chest, again, and you get a feeling he hasn't really stopped looking at it this whole time.

I don’t intend to pay him or buy anything from him. If others wish to do so that is up to them.
Do we make it to our destination without incident?

"Oh, no no no, I would never even dream about forcibly separating a man from his hat! But should I ever find something at least resembling a boutique here in the dungeon halls, I will be sure to let you know, if there is a way to contact you? Of course, you are very much welcome to join our little group, if you would like to stay with us for a while. There are never enough pleasant conversationalists, I say!"
((Speaking of, what are our plans after we finish our CB0 tour? We can go hunt down the beholder, and I was told by the Professor about a crown that can boost psychic powers and should be nearby, which I would very much like to retrieve. Any further ideas and wishes?))

Jax: "I know not at all! It is to my shame that I should try and sell this here ill-mannered article of hatwear to such a gentleman as yourself!"
"There are a few methods. Blood sacrifice works quite well, but I may be remaining about this area for a little while." he says casually.
Blerbles: You do indeed, but it will take one more trip to move the rest of the treasure and loot up to this level. Where are you going to store it all?
Hurricane: Wizzard still seems exceptionally spooked, but a little less wary now. "Dun like it" he says, a few times, eyes on Velicious.

hmmm where did they say the crown was again? I know of a way to travel up and down the river that could show you all some cool sights and hopefully see if the beholder croaked in the water rumor has it there is an amazing city at the end of the river with a tower that grants wishes... Otherwise we got money to spend so maybe it is time we visited the vending machines and the drow. At some point I really want to kill the walking dragon skeleton (marthafucker) a couple floors down but I was hoping to find a tricksy way of doing that instead of brute force.
I figured we take treasure to cell block zero, lock it up in our old cells (the usual storage method) then go back for our second trip to gather the remaining loot. I do not plan on taking the dandy demon into the block. I don't want them having easy in and out with it.
additionally we could keep an eye out for the bank an incredibly charismatic blind goblin moneymancer (one of the old rumors) but I have no idea where to find them.

^ the crown, according to the Professor. IDK if there will be any other treasure for the rest of you, though.
A sightseeing tour on the river would be nice. We can store the gold, identify our magic items, then return for the rest of the treasure.
Anyway, if we got up to One Hit Wonders:
"Greetings! You are the one called One Hit Wonders, right? I have heard much about you but haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting you in person.
Say, would you have a bottle of good spirits for sale, for me and my friends to celebrate our-" I bite back 'victory', given that Velicious is still there, and instead say: "-newfound companionship? You are welcome to drink with us, if you'd like."

I will keep my eyes glued on Velicious, if he makes so much as a wayward move they will lose the offending limb. I will respond to Wizard "I trust your judgement as my Wizard, what would you advise we do? Is this one to strike down?" The last part said in a whisper meant to be conspiratory with Wizard. I really do trust Wizard and if he has a bad feeling, I want to act on that.
I should note that it might seem I am laying things on thick but Hurricane takes the oath these goblins took very seriously and feels a lot of responsibility towards them and their input on things.

Wizzard looks absolutely horrified when you mention harming Velicious, shaking his head carefully. His goblin eyes are full of fear as well as... awe?
One-Hit Wonders is happy to oblige! There's a gurgle and a clank, and an array of bottles appear in place of the more standard potions. "Yeah brah! I got the good stuff, devil liquor, dwarven whiskey-blobs, and this special stuff I like to call alchemical wine, it's 200-proof!"
Devil liquor, 250cp per bottle Dwarven whiskey-blob, 150cp per box Alchemical wine, 300 per bottle, 50 extra for a more secure bottle so it doesn't evaporate.

((So if I'm not mistaken, we have 500gp split four ways, thus 125gp (12 500cp) each? Not counting the gems and items.))
"Alchemical wine? Oh, I like the sound of that! I will have a bottle, please. I guess nobody has any glasses, right?"
If there are no glasses or other drinking containers to be found, I will just take a swig and pass the bottle to the others: "Cheers and let all our future ventures be successful!"
"Which reminds me," I turn to One Hit Wonders, "could I also ask you for something to mend broken bones?"

One Hit will rattle out a set of slightly-grimy shot glasses. "Pleasure doin business!"
Other potions available: Bottled Fog - 100cp Disguised Bomb - Looks like a sandwich, d6 damage, +d20 at close range. 75cp Bottle of Wizard Blood - 150cp Potion of Iron Flesh - 200cp Potion of Suspended Death - 150cp Potion of ? ? ? - 50cp
"Oh, for sure. If you need it like, now, I can arrange for speedy delivery to wherever you are as soon as I get it. It'll be 250, and 50 plus a strand of your hair or drop of blood for a delivery."
The alchemical wine tastes obnoxious, but goes down better than you'd expect. Velicious happily takes a glass and downs it as well "To the subjugation of all foes! May they grovel at our feet."

Yeah, I'm not certain how to interpret Wizard's reaction so I'll leave it at that.
"I would like to buy many of your wares good merchant!" And I'll offer to buy 3 potions of iron flesh and 4 of the fog. "What do these others do? Specifically the wizard blood and Suspended Death?" Regardless of what they say I will buy one of each.
We should certainly go get the rest of that treasure with the exclusion of Velicious. They aren't giving off great vibes so can we just tell them to fuck off?

I can stay here for now and keep the demon busy with drinking and conversation, if you want to sneak all the treasure to CB0.
"Pray tell, Master Velicious, have you been stranded for long in this dungeon? I myself am but a recent arrival, though it feels like months already.
If I may pry, would you mind telling me about your tailor? Though your clothes, regrettable as it be, show the wear and tear of an adventurous life, I do find their cut pleasing, curious and quite exotic. I have seen my share of various fashions and garbs throughout Caoilainn, yet nothing quite like your garments."
I will also put one shot of the wine to One Hit Wonders' dispenser so that they can have a drink with us. And I will pay for the medicine, speedily delivered.

One-Hit only has one of each type of potion, apart from the unidentified ones which he has five. "But I can getcha more, no problem!" ((Just be sure to remind me next time you check One-Hit))
"Wizard Blood is good for all sortsa things, if it's treated right. Good for, like, recharging wands 'n stuff. Suspended Death makes you look like a corpse for a while, no need to breath. You wake up right as rain after though, or your money back!"
Velicious: "Sadly, I have been stranded here for quite some time, even by my own standards. There are many like us, trapped and wandering. These clothes are the ones I arrived in, in a sense. It's more accurate to say that this body is the one that I arrived in."
((Also, if you all wouldn't mind keeping track of your own purchases, that would be grand!))
Second encounter check while collecting the rest of the treasure: U6Do4zkL1d6
No issue except for burning time and torches. Sorted! Not all of the treasure will really fit in your cells ((and now that I think of it, storing stuff and junk in your magical spawning location seems a little... odd)), what are you prioritising?1d6

Someone else mind marking off that torch? It’s more treasure than can fit inside 3 prison cells? Oh man cell storage going down? What about all of the stuff people have stashed there in the past?
So we are safe at cell block zero with all our treasure. What’s going on with our “guest” the dandy demon? I don’t want to bring them in with us so I will say “see you around.” And try to part ways.
Let’s go through and do a census of the loot additionally I want to chat with sergeant tough muffins. “Greetings sarge, any idea what to do with all this scruff? This moola is pretty unwieldy and folks will be after it. Do you have a coin return button??”

"It was a pleasure talking to you, Master Velicious. If you'd excuse me now, though, I should probably have a chat with Professor Spell-o-matic about the magic that currently holds my injuries at bay. I hope we will meet again!" I will also buy one Potion of , frankiestein bought the rest, right? I have so far been assuming a 1250sp share of the coinage and marked my purchases off that. I think there were also some gems? Any items that no one has claimed yet? If there is no trouble from the demon, I will move to the minecart room. "Good day to you, my Lady, Professor. It might be of interest to you, Professor, that me and my companions are just returning from the beholder's lair. The beast has fled after a vicious fight, bloodied and scared for its life! Anyway, could I ask you to identify a few trinkets I managed to obtain from the beholder's hoard? I should still have a good 180sp in credit with you, so I hope that will cover the service." I present to him: * The bangle necklace with a ruby set in its centre that healed (?) my hands. * The spirit urn (?) that we found back in the destroyed orc village. * The single black boot, done up with rainbow laces, that positively reeks of magic. And if anyone wants to have things identified, I will use my credit to pay for that too.
