I will take the four damage putting me at 1 health. Moving to a safer location behind one of the large boulders in the room I will load the crossbow with an occultum lead spike. I wonder what will happen to the beholder while they are pierced with this thing seeing as it causes bad luck and is semi anti magic.

I don't know how well I can push at myself, but what if I try to telekinetically hold my clothes? I will test if I could climb only with legs, holding myself close to the rock face by pushing at my clothes.

Scar is: rPgREcv71d6HP is: 1d6Does that HP get added to my current max then?
As Hurricane falls through the air he will clutch his whip tightly. The magic canceling of this eye might work on his magics, but what of GOD? How could his beholder defy the will of THE GOD BELOW? This petulent sinner who's mad mind only sows darkness? He will try to become the conduit of GOD's will, focusing it into his whip as he descends, dropping into the darkness he feels in his prayers. Pearls of glimmering void-smite form like droplets on the tethers of his whip. Just before he hits the beam, he will strike out with his lashes, hopefully splintering it into as many parts as tails on his whip.
If this is a ridiculous idea, Hurricane will instead twist in the air as best he can to avoid the beam, throwing his body's weight as far as possible.
If this requires a 1d20 roll of some kind in either case: 1d20
If he makes it through, I will lash out with the whip once more for Beholder, groping in the dark with the tendrils of my whip, imbued with the void smite of GOD: 1d8

Hurricane: Now sporting a rakish scar on one cheek, you twist and fall and feel the will of your God fill your mind. It is your choice - do you wish to strike the beam with your whip, destroying it but preventing it from hitting you, or lash out at the exposed belly of the Beholder? If you choose to hit the Beholder, you take 1d20 damage from the beam.
((Yes it is a ridiculous idea but whatever, you got the dice roll for it!))
Also, your max HP is now 3.
Jax: That would allow you to move your clothes around, but not drag yourself around with them. That would be like trying to ride a bicycle by pushing on the handlebars. You can climb the ravine though, it'll take a STR or DEX check, or just some time.
Blerble: The Beholder is too high up to hit, even with a crossbow, even with the wizzard-mark on those eyes. But yes, an occult-lead spike would be a major problem!

1d20 of damage seems like an awful lot so I think my choice is clear! Plus that option is way cooler! Where do I land? Also did not expect to live this long in the fight armed with my meager abilities and just a whip and pipe!

There's a violent BZZZZT as the whip meets the disintegration beam, obliterating the whip and allowing Hurricane to pass through unharmed. You're still falling fast, but not sliced in half, so that's a big plus!
"AND LET THAT BE A WARNING TO THE REST OF YOU VERMIN!" roars the Beholder triumphantly, before flying south-west along the ceiling. A blue eye-beam stabs down towards the treasure pile at the top of the ledge, scooping up roughly half the contents into a big blob of valuable gubbins. A whole lot of it slips out, clattering over the ledge and into the ravine, and plenty is left lying about on the top of the ledge, but the largest proportion is sucked up towards the Beholder who is flying south-west at a fair clip, bonking gently into the ceiling every so often.
What do you all do? Jax, there are gold and silver coins raining down on you from above! It's actually rather painful.

How do they know where to aim to pick up their treasure if they are blind and have been flying around so much? Their telekinesis eye beam has a longer range than a crossbow? Or do they fly into my firing range while they are trying to scoop up their treasure? If so I will shoot while they scoop. Otherwise I will continue to wait until they have fled then instruct my companions to loot the hoard while I leisurely follow the trail of treasure picking it up as I go utilizing lil red, Terrance, and the soot sprites.
I think the beholder is going to kill themself if they try to flee. I imagine a newly blind rhinoceros crashing into a stone wall repeatedly. They will at least knock themselves out.

Can I assume physics works similarly to real life? If I hold my breath I will become light as a feather and while I may be going fast, there is not much energy behind my mass since my weight is so low. Am I falling among the remaining half of treasure? What's there?

Blerbles: This is their lair. They know it better than you know the back of your... tail? The eyebeam is going in a straight line from the top of the cavern and dragging across the treasure pile, its not a pinpoint thing. Also, the Beholder is staying very very high. You can try and take a shot using an exceptionally heavy bolt and an unattuned magic weapon, but this is one of the few scenarios where I would require an attack roll (which would be Dex).
Hurricane: This is where "real-world physics" starts to become maybe partially useful. I would think that if your feather-weight stops for any reason (normally it would be if you ran out of breath (also, consider what would happen if you were struck and had the "wind knocked out of you")) you start to fall and are accelerating at your normal speed. When you re-take the breath, you accelerate slower (because of wind resistance) but you still have your initial speed.
You are falling in open space, the Beholder has flown away and left you behind to scoop up it's treasure. You also can't speak while holding your breath.
((I vary wildly between the two. Whichever you find more comfortable with to be honest))

I continue my arduous climb until I get to the top, then I will have a look at the remaining treasure. Does anything look like a nice and convenient potion of healing? If not, I will start stuffing stuff into my pockets.

I can get into the weeds of this if you'd like but how much energy you take on your fall is based on the kinetic energy you have at the end of your descent. This is calculated by the formula: Kinetic Energy = 1/2 * mass * velocity^2. So, both weight and speed impact how much damage you take at the end of your descent. It takes about 12 seconds of free fall (around 1,500 feet) to hit terminal velocity. However, this is only 183 feet per second. For comparison, if you were to jump up into the air vertically 0.5 feet, by the time you hit the ground you will be going a speed of 5 feet per second. Now, by the above formula, you can see that velocity has a disproportionate effect on how much kinetic energy you have at the end of a fall. This means that at free fall, you are experiencing 1,339 times more kinetic energy than if you were just to jump into the air 0.5 feet. Luckily for me, feathers do not weigh very much at all. Even if we assume that a feather weighs 0.1 pounds (that would be a hecking big feather) I am still reducing my kinetic energy by a factor ~1,500 (assuming I weigh 150 pounds).
So the long story short is that I'm arguing that as long as I hold my breath before touching down, there wont be enough kinetic energy for me to take any significant harm.

Blerble: You see the lights indicating the Beholder's movement bob along the roof of the cavern, like a balloon trapped under a roof. The lights duck down a little further, and then disappear all at once.
Jax: Perhaps! Anyone looking for anything specific can make a CHA check, with the result indicating the closest thing you find.
Hurricane: Ok, fair enough! Also, whatever happened to Squire? Did he save his master and then just... fall to his death? ((I may adjust the value of that feather-breath ability for the future, you've certainly proved it's exceptional versatility!))

(I can PM you some ideas for adjusting it over discord)
Squire did take a great tumble! In fact, he unfortunately fell into the ravine created by the Beholder! Falling disasterously fast, the quick and strong Squire will slow there descent with the spiked edge of their trusty halberd, eventually coming to an abrupt halt down in there. Glancing down in the neigh-bottomless pit, Squire will squirm a bit before looking up again to find Wizard atop his halberd, with a disdainful look after licking the weapon and finding the taste not to his liking. Squire will squirm again and plead with Wizard a bit before he relents and makes a strange gesture in the air. Unfortunately for Squire, a terrible tickling sensation will begin at the bottom of his feet, distracting him long enough for Wizard to slip away. But the tickling does not relent! Terrible cackling arises from the crack in the ground and Squire's feet become lighter than air, raising him up out of the crevice by the bottom of his feet! His cackling will surely unsettle those in the vicinity though.
So, are we at the loot gathering phase? Half of the treasure still remains for us to claim right?

Jax: ((I didn't actually spot that you'd gained that scar! You adjudicated it perfectly though, but I guess that is just the downside of PbP is that I can miss a post every so often. I think it must have been over a page or something))
Carefully picking your way through the piles of gold, you find a bangle-necklace thing with a red ruby set in the centre. It's glowing regularly, and it takes a moment to realise that it's beating in time with your pulse. As soon as you touch it, your wrists make a horrific but painless creaking sound, snapping back into place. It's a truly wonderful feeling, but you aren't sure that your wrists are quite fixed yet...
Blerbles: To clarify, the big scoop from the eyebeam caused treasure to spill everywhere, but it isn't leaking particularly much. The Beholder has thoroughly fled, they were very heavily injured in the fighting.
Hurricane: ((No need, your ability is fine! This is just in terms of future development. I'm also keeping everything to do with the game on this forum so it's all in one place if I need to access anything. For discussion like that, I've found the shoutbox is quite useful))
((Also, slight veto)) As Squire went falling into the ravine, Wizzard did something, and Squire didn't come back out, but Wizzard just nods. Squire will turn up - eventually.
About a third of the treasure remains to be claimed - approximately 1000 gold in various coinage, an unknown quantity of gems, a smattering of weapons and armour, and a dozen odd items.

To where did the beholder flee? This is their lair they left it while blind and hauling treasure? Can I simply follow where they ran or the blood from their copious wounds. Is the cavern no longer a dead end? Can I channel magic into the voodoo doll to cast a spell on the beholder? While it was running I would have liked to cast ravenous baleful infestation on it using their blood, the voodoo doll, my trickling of power, and my power word worm.
”worms the beholders end do hasten, ravenous baleful infestation.”

I put the necklace on. While I cannot know whether there will be any side effects to the magic, I don't want to risk that the healing will dissipate if I stop touching the necklace and frankly whatever it might do to me, it cannot be much worse than having both of my hands broken (and being unable to regain HP) in the middle of a deadly dungeon.
"Worm-friend, there's no need to rush after the cornered rat while it's fighting in desperation, let it bleed and grow weak. The beholder is severely wounded, fleeing for its life and burdened by its own greed. Such a beast only understands fear and power, thus when brought low he won't trust anyone and will try to hide rather than reach out for help. There will be no allies of his that he would be willing to ask for safety and respite, fearing they would immediately turn on him when they have a chance.
We can take the treasure and regroup, then return to hunt it down. We can climb the cavern walls to where he disappeared and see if there are any tunnels further, then the goblins should be able to sniff his blood and lead us, should Hurricane choose to stay with us. I will accompany you, but I'd like at least a little bit of rest first. We could also ask the Professor if there is a place the beholder would be likely to retreat to.
We could even buy some explosives to finish the beholder off more safely and definitely. It would be strangely poetic if his treasure paid for his own fiery doom, wouldn't it?"

I fear given time he will simply heal and regain his sight leaving us at a huge disadvantage next time. I stub my toe going around my house in the dark so I figure him running around blind will have him crashing into stuff. Since he is “running” and pretty big his crashes will probably hurt him. I have witnessed blindfolded individuals walk into walls and knock themselves unconscious in real life. This lead arrow if I get it into him will poison him over time as will the spell so even getting one more shot off at him will probably seal the deal. Additionally the paths I know of from this area are pretty dangerous to fly through but not walk through so they would probably kill the beholder. I am currently carrying some forms of explosives but have been unable to hit the beholder with much lately. They interrupted that one shot and grabbed some of their treasure and fled before I could attempt to shoot them with it again.

I believed we were going to win this fight because combat and beholders (so many eyes) mostly have to do with sight and the beholder was blind and became so recently thus they are new to it. Meanwhile we had some strong weapons, numbers, and a surprise attack along with an auto hit system so we were guaranteed to land our attacks. Additionally beholders kind of act like guard dogs tied to their lair and treasure usually so I felt they would fight to the death. I’m glad none of us died (much better than anyone who has tried before, the beholder has killed a lot of players) and we got a lot of treasure so I shouldn’t gripe. It just didn’t pan out the way I thought it would. I will have to think more about how to kill a beholder that can stop magic with their sight, cannot be hit by physical attacks because they are too far away, and can still attack us from that position.

Safely on the ground, Hurricane will start to split the gold among the four of us, the three heroes and the goblins, who certainly proved their mettle. Hurricane would primarily looking for a weapon to replace his lost whip, which he is quite sad about. One reminder of the life he used to have, gone.

Blerbles: With the rhyme, your ash-and-blood wriggling Beholder doll and your innate knowledge of the word Worm, that comes to a pretty powerful spell. The ash-poppet is shredded by suddenly sprouting worms, manifesting out of shadow and your own fury. Following the trail the trail the Beholder left, you come to a large opening that leans over the swiftly flowing river. This exit is at the farthest south point of the cavern ((and hasn't been explored before)). There is no sign of the Beholder, at all.
Jax: By picking it up! What do you go for first?
