I will travel to flights of fancy by heading to minecart station b, east to goblin smelling room south to portal 243 then dial 753 to get to the portal on floor -4 east through the crack in the wall then north to rope area which I will climb to floor -3 west past the giant hole in the floor and that should lead me to flights of fancy and the prison cell. Up across the tracks. Clickety-clack, clickety-clack.
Through the glowing portal. Vhwum... vwhum...
The portal pops you out in a tumble-down chamber, you squeeze your massive frame through the narrow tunnels, dragging platemail across old and worn bloodstains. When you reach the rope area, climbing up causes the structure to flex and bend. You can hear chittering sounds in the dark: AGUQbH6t1d6
But they don't respond (wisely!)
Up and up you go, your teeth hurt a little as you near the tremendous crater that has hammered the side of the wall. Burnt ropes, webs and vines snap under your grasp, but there are always plenty more to take their place.
Across, past the hole in the centre of the chamber, and you reach Flights of Fancy just like that. It takes a little while to click awake. "Oh hi! You're new! Or old, perhaps. What can I do you for? I've got arrows galore!"
Each arrow is 50c, FoF has ten of each - Exploding Arrow - King of Arrows (causes other arrows that pass nearby to hit as well) - Slaying Arrow (double damage against 1d6 undead) - Coffin Nail Arrow (ignores armour and pins to walls) - Bird Arrow (mimics a birdcall, removes feathers painlessly) - Secret Giant Arrow (turns into a ballista bolt once fired)1d6·1d6

“Oh my quite the deals. Let’s see 50 cp so two arrows for a silver or 20 arrows for a gold coin is that right? That king of arrows sounds intriguing how would that work? Are you keen to get out of here? Although I don’t think I can haul you through the giant web rope tunnel that I took to get here.”
As I am talking I will eye up their cell more. I believe the bars were electrified with a generator of some sort. I am looking for the generator using my dungeon engineer know how and can use talk with electricity in a pinch to help me. I want to take this generator.

((Not quite, 1g = 10s = 100c, so buying twenty arrows would be 10g))
"Once you've got a King of Arrows in yonder beastie, all other arrows fired in any direction will turn around and strike beside it."
You can hear the electricity. It sounds like a whole lot of yelling, coming from under the floor on the other side of the bars.

“Hmmmm so you can stop an archer by getting a king arrow in something. Say do you know much about this generator here? What do you recall about being out in this cell? Anybody else make purchases here? Fellow arrow enthusiasts?”
I recall the generator being small and visible but I will work to recover it by talking with electricity, channeling electricity, using dungeon architect, my knowledge of traps, the overengineered pickaxe, and the drow/dwarf/drone toolbox. Also trying to get some info about it from flights of fancy themselves.

“I will give you 25g for the lot then. Don’t suppose you have a majestic quiver or bow for sale? Perhaps some knowledge on their whereabouts?”

"Yeah, that would work. All the arrows would turn around and hit the same thing."
"Generator? No idea. I was behind these bars when I, um, woke up?"
"Not really. Some orcs came by a while ago, and a drow purchased my whole stock of Heart Arrows."
Honestly, you are so over-qualified for this process. It just takes you a bit of time, so an encounter check: oPGIijIi1d6
Electricity sparks and zaps around you, harmless to yourself. Eventually you pry up the flagstone, revealing a big box of what looks like lead and silver. It's rattling and rumbling, and you can hear... shouting coming from inside it?
"No deal. It's 30 gold for all 60 arrows. I'd like to give you a bulk discount, but I can't sadly."
"I don't really hear much down here. I spend most of my time off-duty asleep. It's fine, I guess..."1d6

“Yeah I will take the lot for 60. Good to know the orcs are still around. (Curious if drifter wants revenge for andsaca and his village) what do heart arrows do?”
I want to turn off the generator, disconnect the wires, and take it with me. Hoping it will fit in the luggage.
If nothing else comes up and no quivers or bow are mentioned I will thank flights of fancy and head west then south past merutar (long may he war) and check on the chickens.

Coins rattle into the vending machine, and arrows pour out into the Luggage in a big pile.
"Heart Arrows? Bit like a Charm spell when they hit something."
The generator won't fit in the Luggage, it's too wide. You can carry it, but it'll take both hands. When you unplug the wires, the yelling inside keeps going. The metal casing starts to heat up a bit as well...

“Ummmm electricity what is going on in there?”
I am fine with carrying the generator but will I be able to carry it through the rope area? If not I will have to leave it. No other way off of this floor.

"It's garbled so garbled imp is garbled can't garbled"
You can carry it fine, but not while climbing. The generator is hot, and sparks radiate off it occasionally.
Where to next?

I will put the generator back and rebook it up and turn it back on. Seems I can’t use this like I thought. I will see if the electricity is talking more clearly now then after that west then south to the large flightless bird nest.

There's a crackle and a spark as you hook up the wires. Looks like this generator has a lot of power in it. "Blah. Thank you. It's a right bzzt mess in here. Would you mind opening that valve there? It's gonna be fused shut, I can feel it."

“Sure.” And I will attempt to help the generator as best as I can.
“Was hoping to take you to the big city but it seems I don’t have a good path while carrying you.”

"Oh yeah? Sounds interesting. Maybe a wheelbarrow or bzzt something."
You lean down on the valve to try and open it, then lean down hard. The bit of metal tubing shears right off, and a clear goop smelling of almonds pours out onto the floor, dissolving the stone slightly.

I have a really good grappling hook can I tie the generator up as a back pack? The rope is spider silk from an old adventurer. I will go through the tool box to find a little bit of metal to cover the tube to prevent it leaking further.

You jam a large bolt into the hole. A little bit leaks out still, but not nearly as much.
You can definitely tie it to yourself, but I don't know if that would be any easier. You could quite probably get stuck in an awkward position while climbing the webs, and if you dropped the generator, it has a very long way to fall down.

Yeah still not great. I will leave the generator sadly. Let’s do the chickens (giant birds) hoping to hunt one on the outskirts with a sling and a stone and then cook em up near the orc wreckage. If I hit a loner while in flight that might disturb them enough to come crashing down and suffer some fall damage.

Let's go with a DEX roll to see how cleanly you do it. Phykalla could easily bull-rush a bird and smash it to pieces... but that isn't quite the point of hunting.
Is there a particular reason you are cooking near the orc ruins? Seeing what you bring out of hiding?

Dex roll still using old sheet trying to get 12 or under…
[VKtQjJZ81d20]
First off I want to see the battlefield more and scavenge up some of the crossbows to toss in my wandering storage bin, second off I want to see/be by the great flame
I want to see if the fire god/ash elemental is still alive and what they are up to and also I believe interacting with this fiery orc village will spark some interest from alchfrith. I will probably go back to our roots and write in their incunabula with blood describing what I see like a diary.1d20

((So you're playing DT while everyone else is in Finders Keepers? I can roll with that (pun intended)))
The birds are in an absolute panicked flutter to attack and/or get away from you, but you stride in, grab the dazed bird, finish it off and march right back out again with only a few feathers in your armour.
You stride back past the statue and north, around the huge glass floor/ceiling. The shelves below seem to be lit by some kind of lantern, but goes out as you pass. Have you considered trying to find a way into it?
Encounter check: Wmg8gWIY1d6
((Rolled another 1 for Recurring Characters, and then 19... phew!))
Heading down the path to the old village, you smell ash and sadness. Looking out over the cave, the spot where the eternal flame used to be is a glowing pit of slag and cinders, not so much illuminating the place as just highlighting the darkness. Huts everyone have been blasted to pieces, you can still see the signs of the fight between Andsaca and the Name Thief. Everything is covered in a thick layer of ash and dust. ((I'll be honest, it's been so long since the fight, I can't quite recall all the specifics. Let me know if there is something important I've missed))
Sitting near the entrance, floating just a few inches above the ash, is a gently glowing figure made of wings. Their wings twitch towards you, and eyes open all along their length. The figure turns towards you, even though the eyes on their head is wrapped in bandages.
"Traveller. Do you know what happened here? So much has been lost." 1d6

Yeah still using die trying, saves us trying to convert that massive character sheet.
Wait recurring character that is angelic is this greeter or that angel we saved from the doors? Phykalla knows both of them.
“A weird and epic battle between andsaca consort of the worm queen and the name thief.”
Phykalla and Martha would get along great and you know it.

This is David the Angel! He looks different than when you last say him, but it's definitely David. Taller, and thinner. You aren't sure what the bandages cover, but those wings were definitely pristine white feathers before. Now, they're looking at you.
"Indeed? Epic. A strange word. A poem narrating the deeds and adventures of heroic or legendary figures. Was Andsaca, Consort of Worms, a hero? I should think so. And yet..." one wing waves towards the dimly lit devastation. "All of this remains. Surely this wouldn't end up in the tales told. Not at the end, at least. Perhaps the middle."
In the centre of the ruins, embedded in the ash, is a tremendous clawed footprint. Martha was Here, but here no longer. I wonder where she has ended up?
((On the Recurring Character list, of course! As the Cicerone, I'm giving Phykalla an extra power, when Recurring Characters are rolled, I'll roll twice and pick the most interesting result.))

(Maybe as cicerone I should pick which roll is more interesting ) “Angel David you have changed, what’s happened since last we met?”

((I'll consider it))
"Much has changed. I have stayed the same. The lights are going out, deep below. The great engines that guide this false world are chugging to a stop. They turn, yet, but slower. They were never meant to run forever. I have looked into the stars beneath and above, and there is no difference. I have looked at the great minds that linger, above and beneath, and there is no difference worth mentioning. I have felt the hunger of the wind as it blows across the mountaintops. It years for songs to snuff out. For life to die again under the gaze of The Son and the The Sun. There is hope yet. You know what they print on the gates of Hell?"
"Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Enter Here. I wonder who it was that wrote that."
"Also six Dwarves tried to blow my head off with a magic wand. It was unpleasant."
"... for them."
---
There is plenty of scrap to make a campfire, and you've got your pan-shield as well to cook up the chicken. It's pretty gamey, but quantity has a quality all of it's own. You throw some fuel into the embers, but you aren't sure mere mortal efforts could rekindle it. You could probably chuck in a bunch of demon corpses and get something to happen.

“How have your vows of pacifism been faring? Six dwarves? I thought they were no longer in the dungeon. Their tech is always so sought after. I was thinking I would go spend some time with the drow. You are welcome to accompany me there or perhaps on some adventure.”
If I get a bunch of demon corpses I will consider it.

"It has been difficult, but Vows would mean nothing if they were not tested. They injured themselves, and each other. I was merely present."
"Some still remain, far fewer than before. They have the tools of their forebears, but many specialists have been lost, particularly since the City of Gems was closed to outsiders."
"Ah, the Drow. At the very least, they know themselves truly. I think I would... fare poorly there. Do you think otherwise? I shall remain here for some time. The Embers speak to me a little. I do not understand them yet, but I feel I may eventually."

“You would do a great service giving this once great flame company. There are embers fading in my mind, I thought seeing this would kindle them but I was wrong.”
How fares the lava spwack and tell me how the orcs lived.
