Once fully rested, I would like to venture south, to the swamp.
"Greetings, frog friends! What woe do you speak of?"
I also examine the beanstalk. Does it go through the ceiling? Would it be possible to climb it to the next floor upwards?

"do ummm the laser people need help?" additionally the bean stalk does indeed go up a floor and I would be fine with checking it out. I believe it leads to a maze.

Seymour doesn't respond much, nor does he deny you access. Clambering up along the stalk, you pass along what seems like miles of Seymour's twisting green progress, up and down and up again, questing eternally through the weakest points in the solid rock of the dungeon complex. Seymour eventually bursts out into a warren of perfectly square passages, all mostly alike, twisting and burrowing into the rock. You can feel the rumbling of strange machines nearby, but the tangle of hallways means it could take minutes or hours to reach that point. You can head off into the maze (which I will have to invent new rules for, since there is no longer an INT stat) or follow Seymour's progress upwards and onwards.

(The laser people were me and nick. We managed to run away. BTW, is Seymour your working from a previous game?)
I would like to continue upwards, to find out how far does Seymour go and if we can follow their stalk all the way to the surface.

The beanstalk here is Saint Seymour the work of Zavunar the Undying. He is the patron saint of depression, wrestling, and fine tea. We will continue to follow the stalk upwards. The frogs are quite depressed and slightly intelligent; many have tried to help them or use them in their own way.

Onwards and upwards. Seymour takes a winding route and you frequently have to clamber directly on him as he follows hallways that travel directly upwards. It takes a little while, so we will have an encounter check: hbU|X46u1d61d6

Ooh boy. Directly ahead, you can see a massive cube of stone nudging Saint Seymour gently with one corner. It turns to look at you, and you can see a central eye made out of a single tremendously large ruby. The eye narrows, and it begins to approach, floating effortlessly along despite it's size.
What do you do?

Are there any side passages or cracks where we could dive for cover if necessary, or is the only way away from it to return? Could we maybe hide behind/under Seymour?
"Hello. how do you do? We're a bit lost in these tunnels, would you know where are we?"
If the cube attacks, I will try to take cover and lob a javelin at its eye.

There are definitely side-passages, but to get away from it you'd need to move back and away from Saint Seymour.
The cube doesn't respond, and if it sees you taking out the javelin, it'll charge directly at you! Roll your damage and we will see what happens next...

"Please stop, I do not wish for a conflict."
I will give the cube a few more seconds (unless it's already too close?) and if it still doesn't stop or respond, I will reach for one of the javelins strapped to my back and throw it:

The cube twitches to the side slightly just as you throw, causing your javelin to splinter into fragments just beside the eye. It barrels directly towards you! Are you going to jump to the side, try and get under it, run away, or something else?

I grab the bottle of orange gunk that I vomited up after curing myself with a potion of panacea, lob it at the cube to hopefully blind, and immediately roll to the side, letting it slide past me.
Dex roll, if necessary:

How wonderful it is that you didn't need to roll a DEX check! Unless you are explicitly spending a whole action avoiding a blow (in which case you do make a DEX check) attack automatically hit. This was just to determine where you ended up after taking the damage, which is: WFiUcElC1d101d10

(It's nice that I mostly fail rolls that I didn't need to make. I'm still at 0 hp...)
I get back to my feet and sprint past the cube. I will continue running until I see some hiding spot. I also have the bottle of orange gunk ready, and if the cube turns to face me again, I'm throwing it.

I'll wait for wingilbear to act before brutalising you further with the cube. You'll probably be able to stand up before the creature turns and strikes you again, but fleeing is tricky at this point.

Since fleeing is difficult I am going to have my floating mage hand Terrance pluck the cube's eye out using the neon pink rings adorned with space twisters to cause the white gloved fingers to shrink so they fit in easier around the eye then suddenly expand to pop it out.

Terrance flies round your head twice to build up speed (and courage) before soaring directly into the face of the cube, landing with a splat on the ruby. The creature seems nonplussed, at having a flying silk glove land on it's face, then twitches violently in mid-air as Terrance tries to dig his tiny nimble fingers around the rim of the eye. The stone cube is frantically shaking and spinning to try and shake off Terrance, it is very distracted for the moment. Terrance isn't making too much progress either, but it's clearly not paying attention to you anymore red_kangaroo. What do you two want to do?

Escape while it is distracted hopefully following the bean sprout. If Terrance succeeds all the better but once we gain a little ground mage hand can come back to me.

If you're trying to get past the cube and flee, make a DEX check to see if you can escape completely, otherwise it'll still be a chase, and we will resolve that seperately.

I will wait for Blerble, then continue running with him.
In the meantime, I'll try to further distract the cube by frying its brain-equivalent with my mind blast:

The cube is clearly quite rattled. It turns fully away from you just as Terrance slips a finger underneath the rim of the eye, faces a wall, and smashes into it a half-dozen times. Terrance shrunk even further and zipped away to avoid getting smushed or torn, but you've got time to escape now: are you going back the way you came, or trying to get past the cube and following Seymour further up?

And away we go! Terrance leads the cube on a merry chase for a little while before turning to join you, and spends some time picking rock dust out of his silk. You can hear the sound of frenzied movement in the adjoining chambers, but the twisting and turning of the halls means you are quite far away from them. Eventually, Seymour breaks straight through a ceiling, and you are back to clambering in the moist greenery. Seymour seems to be thinning a little as you climb, there are more sprouts that go a short distance and hit a granite dead-end that even He cannot shatter. Seymour slices through a small horizontal tunnel as well, do you keep going straights up, or will you take the passage? Left, right, or up?

Seymour has a few little leaves scattered here and there, but that was the same all the way along the trunk. The branches don't look dead, just pale and a little wispy. Onwards and upwards you go, until you arrive at the furthest point Seymour has reached - dozens of poking and prying shoots, prodding and questing along an indisputable and immovable ceiling of granite. You can feel a strange almost thrumming beneath your hands as you climb to this point. As if Seymour is just itching to keep growing. Alas, you can feel the sheer weight of the stone above. It's not going anywhere, any time soon.
What do you do?
